Outstanding Contribution to GI and Hepatology Nursing Award

This award is designed to recognise outstanding contributions to any field within GI nursing. This could be through exceptional patient care, leadership, innovation, research, education and training or quality improvement projects. Applications can be self-nominations, or nominations can be made on behalf of a BSG member.

The successful applicant/s will receive free registration at BSG LIVE for the day and a £500 award. The award ceremony will take place at the BSG annual conference. The winner is required to attend to receive their prize; registration that day will be free of charge. If the winner wishes to attend additional days, a discounted registration will apply.

Eligibility

The applicant/nominee must be an active BSG member to be eligible.

Applications for this award open Thursday 30th November 2023 and close Friday 16th February 2024 at 5pm.

  • Please indicate why you are nominating yourself/your colleague for this award (200 words)
  • Please describe how you/your nominee has made an outstanding contribution to GI nursing (200 words)
  • Please outline how this contribution has had a positive impact on patient care (200 words)

Judging information

A panel of BSG reviewers recruited by the BSG Nursing Committee will review each application and give it an overall score out of 15, considering each of the above 3 responses with equal weighing out of 5.
